Every year the international furnishing show imm cologne presents a different, very personal vision of contemporary living created by hip young designers and design teams from all over the world. “The House – Interiors on Stage” is the simulation of a residential building at the international furnishing show imm cologne. For this purpose, the trade fair is building a house measuring around 180 square metres in the middle of Pure Edition Hall 3.1 designed according to the plans of a designer, who is nominated every year. The furniture, colours, materials, lighting and accessories selected by him/her add up to an individually configured, holistically designed interior.

Das Haus 2020 by MUT
Koelnmesse nominated the young Spanish design team MUT as Guest of Honor for the ninth edition of Das Haus at the imm cologne 2020. In their version of Das Haus, the design team, headed by Alberto Sánchez and Eduardo Villalón, focused on the homely transition between inside and outside.

For the imm cologne in January 2019, Studio Truly has turned “The House” into an experiment about living itself.

The special show offers design-oriented companies the opportunity to exhibit at the Kind und Jugend trade fair at favorable conditions.

BEYER ROTH WEIS developed the corporate design for the interior of OKAL show houses, premium class prefabricated houses. The OKAL brand can be experienced through the furnishing and equipment of the show houses. Exclusively furnished show houses, which address the wishes of the target group, convey a self-image, visualize and illustrate the attitude towards life, are an important extension of the brand appearance. The higher the number of sensory perceptions and memories experienced on different sensory channels, the closer the bond between brand and customer.
